- Played two years varsity basketball at Plano Senior High School – graduated 1998
- Received B.A. in Political science from Texas Tech in 2002
- Received J.D. from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law in 2006
- Took and Passed the Virginia Bar Exam in 2006, but moved home to Texas to be closer to family.
- Been licensed in Texas since May 2007
- Worked in Bell County/Killeen since May 2007
- Experienced in handling Child Protective Services (CPS), Criminal Law, in addition to family law, including jury trials
